In regards to VIPR teams

With the news about the TSA’s VIPR teams doing random checks all over the place, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking.
I am a Citizen… I am a Free Man, even if I have decided to comply with some (most?) of the governments demands simply to keep myself out of prison and alive (what good is being Free if you’re dead?) There are keyboard commandos out there that yell about how if you pay taxes, or sit back and “take it”, or whatever then you are not a Free Man. Well, I have to insert a distinction here. I AM a Free Man, I’m just not allowed to live freely. Now, I’m not asking for an argument on who, exactly, is supposed to “allow” me to live Freely. I know that the only way I can be truly Free is if I act accordingly. The person that does not “allow” me to be Free is me. I have grudgingly agreed to live by the governments rules under certain circumstances. I am not happy about it, but I do what I have to do in order to remain alive and out of prison so that my family is taken care of. While I am still out of prison, I do what I can to advance the cause of Liberty. Anyway, back to the topic at hand…
I have been trying to decide what to do when I roll up on one of these VIPR checkpoints. I have made my decision. The thing that has taken me the longest was deciding whether I wanted to share this decision or not. Having said that, I realize that by putting this decision out there, I am putting myself into a LOT of potential ‘Hot Water’. But, I want the enemies of the Republic to be able to see in advance what their actions will eventually bring, whether it’s from me or someone else. This is being posted as a warning, not a threat (I am not threatening to harm any innocent individuals, ever).
So, here goes:
1) I am a legal citizen of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and these United States of America.
2) I am a Free Man.
3) I am capable of defending myself, and willing to do so as well.
4) I recognize that the department of homeland security, the transportation security administration and their visible intermodal prevention and response teams are in direct violation of the Constitutions of these United States and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

1) I have a smart phone with the ability to live feed video to the internet, and it will be rolling and feeding before I come to a stop at said checkpoint.
2) I will knowingly submit to some violations of my G*d-given and unalienable rights in order to be allowed to pass through this checkpoint.
3) Even though I will eventually submit, I will put up a verbal fight and get as close to the line of being arrested as I feel comfortable doing without actually getting arrested.
4) I am breaking no laws for which they can legally arrest me (While Open Carry is legal without a license in Pennsylvania, being inside a vehicle is considered concealed and therefore requires a license in accordance with state law. I have a valid License to Carry Firearms issued in Pennsylvania.)
5) After I am ‘cleared’ to go about my business, I will deliver any non-combatants from my vehicle to a safe location and I will return from a distance… there will be no live video feed of any further actions, but there may be video of one form or another available at a later date.

This is my decision, and I will live and die by it.

  2. That is too curious, because that is exactly what I have planned to do- minus the video feed stuff. I am glad that I am not alone.

  3. The DHS/TSA had better be very sure of themselves and their “implied consent” and “probable cause” in my neck of the woods:

    • Dan, Check the sidebar of my home page (sidebar doesn’t show on individual posts)…
I plan on attending the Summit. I am the same Mark Roote that has been posting on the meetup.
Can’t wait to meet some like-minded folk myself. It’s a bit lonely up here in NE PA.

  4. Good tactics. No better way to get the layout than to pass through the area.

    One hundred heads, brother.

    One hundred heads.

Contact me on the post email should it become necessary to post videos.

    Or anything else.

  5. “Am I under arrest? Am I being detained for something? Am I free to go?” Other than those answers, nothing. I live in Florida right now, and have a state CCW permit, which I believe is reciprocal in PA, and we plan on moving up to the Lehigh Valley area soon. I’m also signed up with TL Davis’ meet-up, so I guess I’ll be hearing more from you. Good post.

  6. You ever figure that they WANT to be attacked? Provides a good excuse to lash out….

I say, pick ’em off one at a time but do it when they’re alone and off-duty.
